Behavior varies
What PinShift supplies
PinShift works at the authorized iPhone’s developer-location layer. WhatsApp remains responsible for its own account, privacy, caching, and display behavior.
- Supplies a selected coordinate to the authorized iPhone at the operating-system layer.
- Provides a visible restore action while you inspect a consented test.
What PinShift cannot control
PinShift does not access WhatsApp, send messages, or change sharing settings. Location-sensitive results remain an app-level decision.
- Cannot open chats, send a pin, begin live-location sharing, or choose recipients.
- Cannot verify what WhatsApp sends, caches, or shows to another participant.
A safe manual check
- Test only with consenting participants and a non-safety-critical scenario.
- Control all sharing from WhatsApp itself; PinShift never grants that permission.
- Stop and confirm restoration before relying on the phone’s real position again.
Finish every test safely
Keep Restore real location available until it completes. If restoration fails, PinShift keeps the session potentially active so you can try again.
