Mac download

Install only a release macOS can verify.

PinShift publishes a DMG only after signing, notarization, Gatekeeper, checksum, and clean-install qualification. The release panel below is driven by the machine-readable latest release feed.

Universal Mac release available

PinShift 0.4.0

One verified DMG works on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. It is signed, notarized, stapled, and clean-install tested on both processors.

One immutable DMG only. The site never falls back to an unqualified development build, an unsigned file, or an unverified URL.

Start free: Fixed location, map search, coordinates, up to three favorites, core setup, and Restore Real Location are included. Precision, Micro Route, Pro Route, and unlimited favorites require Pro. Compare plans.

One Mac download

A real universal build—never an ARM file with a new label.

The download activates only after executable-level inspection proves both arm64 and x86_64 slices and clean Macs of each processor type install it normally.

No processor choice required

Click Download for Mac once. The qualified DMG contains native Apple Silicon and Intel code, so macOS selects the correct slice automatically.

You can still see your processor under Apple menu → About This Mac, but you do not need it to choose a file.

Compatibility policy

The current universal release requires macOS 11.0 or later and has passed installation checks on both Apple Silicon and Intel hardware.

Review the qualification gates

Installation

A familiar drag-to-Applications flow.

These instructions apply once a qualified public DMG is available. They do not authorize bypassing Gatekeeper or Apple security controls.

1. Verify the download

Compare the published SHA-256 with the file you received. A mismatch means you should delete the file and download it again from this page.

2. Drag PinShift to Applications

Open the DMG, drag PinShift into the Applications folder shown in the window, then eject the mounted disk image.

3. Open the verified app

Launch PinShift from Applications. A qualified release should pass normal Gatekeeper checks without firewall workarounds or disabling macOS protection.

Verify SHA-256

Open Terminal and run the command below after the public DMG has finished downloading. Compare the output character-for-character with the checksum in the release panel.

shasum -a 256 ~/Downloads/PinShift_*.dmg

If more than one matching DMG exists in Downloads, verify the exact filename instead of using the wildcard.

Developer Mode on iPhone

Developer Mode is an iOS setting, not a Mac installer option. Connect and trust the iPhone first. If PinShift reports that Developer Mode is required, open Settings → Privacy & Security → Developer Mode on the iPhone, follow the restart flow, and confirm on-device.

First run checklist

  • Use an unlocked iPhone that you own or are explicitly authorized to test.
  • Connect with a data-capable USB cable and accept the Trust prompt on the iPhone.
  • Open Devices and wait for every required readiness step.
  • Choose a test coordinate or route, then start the simulation.
  • When finished, use Stop and restore real location before disconnecting.

Free to use: Fixed location works without an account. Precision, Micro Route, Pro Route, and unlimited favorites require Pro. To buy Pro, choose a locked Pro control or open Settings → PinShift Pro in the installed app. Checkout opens securely in Stripe and returns to PinShift to activate the current Mac.

If macOS shows a security warning

Do not disable Gatekeeper, remove quarantine attributes, or run a copied shell workaround. Confirm that the URL is this site's qualified release URL, verify the checksum, and check download status. A warning on a supposedly qualified release should be treated as a release defect.
