Pokémon GO Error 12: what PinShift can and cannot do.

PinShift changes an iPhone location through developer simulation. Pokémon GO may reject that location and show “Failed to detect location (12)”.

What testing has shown

The current compatibility record is a user-reported manual observation: the selected area was reached, then Pokémon GO displayed Error 12 and loaded incompletely. It is not a claim that every device, version, or session will behave the same way.

What PinShift can do

PinShift can select a fixed location or simulate an authorized route through Apple’s developer-location services. Pokémon GO remains responsible for accepting or rejecting that input. PinShift does not inspect the game, access an account, or provide live Pokémon data.

Use PinShift responsibly

Use an unlocked iPhone you own or are authorized to test. Respect Pokémon GO terms and always restore real location after an authorized location test.
