Set it up
- Connect your iPhone to your Mac with USB.
- Unlock it and accept the Trust prompt if it appears.
- Open Settings → Privacy & Security → Developer Mode.
- Turn Developer Mode on.
- Restart when iPhone requests it, then confirm after restart.
- Reconnect if needed, return to PinShift, and choose Check again.
Can’t find Developer Mode?
Ensure the iPhone is unlocked, trusted, and connected with a data-capable cable. Apple may require the device to be prepared by Xcode before the setting is available. Use Apple’s current documentation for that preparation step.
PinShift does not see the iPhone
- Reconnect the cable directly to the Mac; some cables only charge.
- Try another data-capable cable or avoid an unreliable USB hub.
- Unlock the iPhone and wait for the Trust prompt.
- After a restart or setting change, reconnect and choose Check again in PinShift.
